Rivian's New 3D Configurator Is Genuinely Impressive. They Also Built the Whole Thing In-House.

Jose Castillo at Rivian Trackr spotted this one: Rivian quietly added a "View in 3D" mode to the R1 configurator. Spin the model, swap colors, change wheels in real time. Rivian's software lead Wassym confirmed it was built entirely in-house, which is not how most automakers do this. Most automakers outsource it. Rivian did not. R2 support is coming. You will lose 20 minutes to this and not regret it.
